Orbis — OpenBet on-line gaming systems

OpenBet, developed by Orbis UK, is a unique system for setting up and maintaining high traffic gambling and gaming Internet sites. It is already used by major gambling companies, both in the UK and overseas, to manage their on-line betting Web sites.

Orbis commissioned Human-Computer Interface to produce documentation for OpenBet, designed for use by operators involved in setting up events, managing customer accounts, and processing bets.

The project was particularly challenging because it involved not only explaining the operation of a complex series of web-based forms, which control every aspect of the gaming site, but also the particular betting terminology and conventions which are a necessary pre-requisite for using the system.
