Insignia Solutions — CDView CD-ROM cataloguing utility

CDView is an innovative CD-ROM cataloguing utility for the Macintosh that automatically indexes any CD-ROMs inserted into the computer. Files can then be searched for even if the original CD-ROMs are no longer present in the computer.

Insignia Solutions commissioned Human-Computer Interface to design a suite of icons for the utility and its associated files. Each icon is designed both to reflect the overall design of the application, and to indicate the function of the corresponding component or file.

The icons were created in 2-colour, 16-colour, and 256-colour versions, and in large and small sizes, for compatibility with the different display modes supported by the Macintosh.
